This worktable represents my state of being at the moment: divided between excitement and stress. We leave for @ooak_toronto in 8 days and I am nowhere near ready for it. I love to work that’s coming put of the kiln right now but I have so much more to glaze and fire it’s ridiculous.
The kiln is filled to the brim with goodies for Etsy: Made in Canada! I’m driving over later today for the Night Market.
@cheerfullymade has asked that we post photos of our studio messes. My work is all in the kiln now and most of my tools are clean (they rust if they don’t get cleaned immediately after usage) so here’s yesterday’s setup for glazing. I know it’s not the worst mess around, but what can I say? Mess in a ceramics studio = dust = health hazard.
I don’t usually post twice in the same day, but I don’t like being negative for very long so I made myself some tea and though about how lucky I am to have year-round free access to running water and the ability to follow my passions and work as a ceramist. These pieces are halfway through the glazing process and will go in the kiln along with a few tests and a custom order later today. I am crossing my fingers, like always.
