I’ve got almost no time left for setup tonight but I’m getting there! Let’s do this!
After many trials (crazy firing schedule, last minute packing and rental truck breaking down on the way), I’m finally starting my setup in @ooak_toronto. Just in case you’re wondering, I’m not taking a nap in there. I’m working!
This worktable represents my state of being at the moment: divided between excitement and stress. We leave for @ooak_toronto in 8 days and I am nowhere near ready for it. I love to work that’s coming put of the kiln right now but I have so much more to glaze and fire it’s ridiculous.
This lone blue mug came out of my last firing. I’m still working on a real batch of mugs for @ooak_toronto, the process is sooo long!
This piece is flying off to Seattle this morning ✈
I was waiting for a really nice day out to apply the varnish on my kiosk for @ooak_toronto. Today is really perfect and to make it even sweeter my man asked me if he could help! Thank you, you’re the best! 😘 While he’s doing that I’m off to make more mugs for the show.
These 3 mugs were sold this morning and are being sent to @salonsenthe where they’ll be ready for pickup. I’m so swamped with production work, my awesome customer had to send me a message to get me to list those up for her! There are only two green mugs left in my Etsy store now.
I’m printing Ginko today. It’s that time of the year when most plants aren’t flowering anymore, but I can count on the Ginko Biloba tree to still have very green leaves.🌳
I’m at home packing up an order for @toogoodgeneralstore, due to be shipped out tommorrow. It feels good to have a slow morning at home once in a while. At this time of the year I pretty much work everyday, so any work that doesn’t involve clay or glazes feels like a mini vacation.
My booth for One of a Kind in Toronto is almost done! I’m very proud of myself this time. I took the time to put in a lot of little details. I love woodworking and it’s been fun to take a break from intense studio production.
Working on the order for MakerHouse today. Restock in two weeks!
Sometimes it’s the little things that count. I’ve never told one customer before today what lengths I go to to make sure my business has as little environmental impact as possible, but this invisible part of my business is very important to me.
Day two of Etsy: Made in Canada. I’m enjoying my Barking Barista coffee available right by the front door.
All set up and ready to start the day! The lucky first 100 people in the show get a swag bag filled with surprises. Mine is 15% off your purchase today! The same deal will be offered tomorrow if you feel like getting up early.
The kiln is filled to the brim with goodies for Etsy: Made in Canada! I’m driving over later today for the Night Market.
